What is Sleep Score?

Sleep Score analyzes your sleep patterns, offering invaluable insights to enhance your recovery, energy levels, and overall health.

What is Sleep Score?

Sleep Score is a comprehensive metric that provides a snapshot of the quality and efficiency of your sleep. It condenses a night's rest into a single, easy-to-understand number. The Sleep Score feature in Tryon AI analyzes various parameters, such as sleep duration, sleep stages, and disruptions, to evaluate your sleep quality.

How to interpret Sleep Score

The Sleep Score ranges from 0% to 100%, with higher scores indicating better sleep quality. Regardless of the specific number, your Sleep Score is a tool for improvement. It's not about achieving a perfect score every night, but about recognizing opportunities to make progress.

If you notice a consistently lower Sleep Score, dig into the detailed data provided in the Trends section of the Sleep page. Look for patterns, such as disturbances, variations in sleep duration, or other influencing factors. This information can guide you in making the informed changes that are best for your personal sleep routine.

What influences Sleep Score?

Your Sleep Score combines six contributors to help you understand the quality and efficiency of your sleep:

Time Asleep: The total amount of time you spend asleep. Getting enough sleep to meet your individual needs supports a higher score.

Deep Sleep: Your recorded Deep Sleep duration compared with Tryon AI’s scoring target. This target is calculated using your Sleep Needed and adjusts for age and biological sex when that information is available.

REM Sleep: Your recorded REM Sleep duration compared with Tryon AI’s scoring target. Deep and REM Sleep are evaluated separately, rather than scored against an ideal balance of all sleep stages.

Heart Rate Dip: The percentage decrease in your average heart rate during sleep compared with waking hours. A larger Heart Rate Dip generally contributes to a higher score.

Sleep Efficiency: The percentage of your time in bed spent asleep. Spending less time awake during your sleep session supports higher Sleep Efficiency.

Sleep Continuity: How uninterrupted your sleep is. Fewer interruptions support higher Sleep Continuity.

Your Sleep Score and individual contributor ratings reflect Tryon AI’s scoring criteria, rather than clinical assessments. Consider them alongside your longer-term sleep patterns and how you feel during the day.
